Barbora Šnáblová
Partner
Barbora is a specialist in the area of international investment and commercial arbitration. She has represented companies and sovereign governments in both ad hoc arbitrations and arbitrations under the ICC and UNCITRAL rules, and has extensive experience arbitrating claims under bilateral investment treaties.
Barbora has worked for over 10 years on litigation and arbitration teams of leading international law firms in Prague and she also served as independent consulting counsel in treaty disputes and international commercial disputes. Barbora has been involved in complex litigations and commercial arbitrations across variety of sectors, such as electric energy production, banking, real estate, gaming or telecommunications. She advises clients on cross-border issues, drafting of arbitration agreements and pre-dispute strategy and enforcement of arbitral awards.
As an arbitrator, Barbora serves in the Arbitration Committees of the Czech Basketball Federation, and of the Czech Paralympic Committee. She is also listed as arbitrator by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Czech Republic.
Barbora
holds a law degree from Utrecht University, and master's
law degrees from London School of Economics and Political Science and
Charles University in Prague. She is currently extending her experience
at ISDE Business School in the "Global Master in International Sports
Law" programme. Barbora is a qualified solicitor for the Czech Republic.
She is proficient in English and Czech and fluent in German.
Lucie Mikolandová
Associate
Lucie holds a law degree from Charles University in Prague and Diploma of Management from Australian Pacific College.
Before she joined Barbora Šnáblová Attorneys in 2016, Lucie worked in a legal department of a major telecommunication company. In BŠAK, her focus is in particular on domestic litigations. Lucie also participates in the international arbitration team.
She is proficient in English and Czech and fluent in German.
Klára Sýkorová
Case Executive
Klára has extensive experience in providing services to attorneys in legal disputes, including in particular research and analysis of both the law and the facts of the case, translations and proofreading, preparing evidence and case management. She has broad knowledge of both Czech and international law, and she holds a Diploma in Legal Studies from University of Cardiff, Wales.
For over 17 years, Klára has also been working as a translator (English to Czech and vice versa), with a special focus on legal translations.
She has worked as editor-in-chief for a law journal and editor for legal publications at Wolters Kluwer CR, and served as a head of legal department in the Czech Office for Standards, Metrology and Testing.
Klára holds a C2 Proficiency degree in English, and she is fluent in German and French.
